My new buddy at CanPost (after several e-mails/pics back and forth since I placed my order) sent this today:

I just received a thank you card from a Lightfoot fan in the states who was surprised when I sent her one of the magazines with Gord's picture on the cover. She was so please she sent me a card and a picture of her and Gord. There was a nice note included and made me think "Gosh, these Lightfoot fans are the nicest people"

I have spoken to fans of all the artists, but it is the Lightfoot fans who are the most memorable with their stories and loyalty to Gord.

That's VERY cool. I know that when I ordered my stamps, the CanPost Rep started talking funny just for me.

I e-mailed her back to tell her I'd heard that folks were very pleased with the telephone service when ordering the stamps and that us Canucks talk funny..

and I told her that of course we're great folks - we're LIGHTFOOT fans!!

Perhaps that fact that Lightfoot fans are "memorable" and loyal, relects the fact that Gord is a "gentleman" in every sense of the word.

(Psst...timetraveler....I guess I started that nonsense. It was all in good fun. Just between you and me, I actually find the accent to be quite charming. I was just messin' with 'em. Now, please keep this info to yourself.)
