Hi, I'm brand new to this site, my husband has always been inspired by Gord's lyrics and music. He plays guitar and sings Lightfoot, Neil Diamond, Jim Croche, Harry Chapin, James Taylor. But his favourite is Gordon Lightfoot. He has written a number of songs many were written some time ago but they have sat in a filing cabinet doing absolutely nothing. I was curious if anyone knew how to send an artist a song for consideration. I've also suggested to my husband that he write down what Gord has meant to him, I thought even stars like to hear stories of their inspiration. But I need an address.

I doubt very much anything you send would end up on a Lightfoot CD... he prides himself on his own material, it's only been a rare occurence has he recorded other's songs.
But what I can tell you is that GL's ears do perk up if you tell him you are a musician yourself... I know that from personal experience http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif |
