Last night Conan O'Brien (NBC) was parading as a Canadian Worker at the US Canadian Border interviewing people leaving and entering Canada. Conan asked drivers a series of questions at the border and he asked one driver (Canadian) to sing a Gordon Lightfoot song. The driver didn't know who Gordon was (obbviously not a good Canadian) so Conan did his rendition of "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". It was a funny bit...anyone catch it?

I was trying to watch this week, I felt sure that he would mention Gord. A few years ago, Conan was doing his "In the year 2000" bit, and said that in the year 2000 Halle Berry would break yet another racial barrier by becoming the first African American woman to purchase a Gordon Lightfoot album.
It was pretty funny! Jenney |

Unfortunately the Canadian government did not have a sense of humor about the whole thing. They have "officially" apologized for knowing Mr. Conan. It's probably the shot he took at Quebec that tipped the scales. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
