It was also in the movie, Paperback Hero. In that one it is sung by GL, the way we are used to hearing it!

To clarify Annie's answer,in the 1998 movie 54,which is about the old Studio 54 Disco club in New York in the late '70s,Gord's song is Disco-fied! It was recorded by 3 fairly well known 90's female r&b/dance singers. I forget 1 of the names but the other 2 are Jocelyn Enriquez and Amber (she had the hit,"This Is Your Night" in 1996.) Anyway,it was released as a single and made it all the way up to #52 on the Hot 100! That actually tops about 6 of Gordon's own releases! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/eek.gif I still have this single,it's not too bad but I know some people here don't dig the idea of "Disco-Gord Songs" http://www.corfid.com/ubb/tongue.gif I also mentioned this on the thread titled,"Top 40".
