What is the "bio/info" behind "ODR" and why
has it not been released on CD. Will it ever? Are the two questions related? |
Hi wmmartin,
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been consulting Valerie Magee. Here's what she had to say about that: "ODR is simply one of the four albums that have not (yet!) been released on CD. I presume that when WB released the first group of albums (beyond the obvious ones that were hits), they chose those that had the best original sales. On CD they didn't lose money, but they didn't excite WB enough to put any priority on putting out the last four. Rhino, however, has Thane Tierney, who has a much better appreciation for good music. You can read what Gordon himself said in the interview at my web site (on the subject of those four albums) Exclusive Interview on Valerie's Website. So, I would guess that we might see them before very long." (WB = Warner Brothers) |
Wow! What a great interview from 1999. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif If anyone's interested, who hasn't read this, give it a read! It's worth it. I wonder why no one else has ever gone back and found this? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/confused.gif It also gives our newest "post-ies" an idea of what the system was like when it debuted 4 years ago. I wasn't here of course!! Amazing how word gets around about certain little things and it makes them into BIG things like this. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It's been the B! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
