I wonder, who if anyone, Gordon was writing about in this song. Anyone know? I love the cold (:00) intro to this song...it's one of my favorites.

I wonder also what he meant by "the devil take the cost".

Souds like he's talking about either a woman who he may have been seeing a long time ago or maybe just a fictional spaniard beauty made up for the song. Moss is soft,so he's either referring to the way she looks at him,her hair or her skin. Maybe even things left unmentioned?
