i do wish I could go..i am a regular contributer to Sick Kids and the specialist that my daughter is seeing is a doctor there and at Toronto General Hospital up the street on University Ave..
I spent a lot of time there back in the fall of 1980....and the young fellow who survived his illness is now a doctor as he promised, 39 years old and has just had another miracle in his life...a son born a couple of months ago....a child he never expected to have after all of his treatments as a young teen. Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital is amazing and for Lightfoot to help this way is fabulous. a large pullout section about the hospital is in todays STAR but no mention of the Savoy event. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...=1022180854868 It was Lisa who heard about this event as she listened to the radio while having a soak in the tub! She came downstairs with this tidbit and was like the cat that swallowed the canary...she knew something about Lightfoot that I didn't! lol [ April 06, 2006, 07:38: Message edited by: charlene ] |
