Four Strong Winds
Four Strong Winds is an eight-part documentary series celebrating Canada’s singer/songwriters and the impact they have had on the world of popular music. Shot on various locations such as pubs and record stores, the series will cover Canada’s wide range of musical genres, from Celtic, Rock, and Country to traditional French. The series features legends such as Hank Snow, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Gordon Lightfoot; pop icons such as Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette; and future superstars Avril Lavigne and Hawksley Workman.

That's it, no details - fall 2004 program, I believe. If I see more, I'll post.

My CMT addicted daughter mentioned she heard they were making "some programme about music and "I think they said Gord's name."
LOL!
Unless it's a music video or an interview she's out to lunch!
I hope it's not a re-hash of other programmes stuff that we've seen numerous times over the years...sounds interesting...I'll keep watch and have Lisa pay more attention!
lol

Dish Network advertises international channels, I called to see if I could get any from Canada. I was told that Canada is part of America and is not considered to be international, but there are programs from Mexico if I am interested. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/confused.gif

AHA! Confirms what many Canadians have long darkly suspected - they're considered a mere extension of the U.S.

LOL

Must be a surprise to Canadian ambassadors all over the world. Canada, the *real* 51st state, eh?

The spokesperson for DISH Network - or whatever overpaid exec issued that pronouncement - undoubtedly flunked geography.

Canada is the country in the northern part of America - not part of the United States.
The United States and Canada share a continent called America. North America.
