Do you prefer to listen to Lightfoot through headphones, or speakers? How about your favorite place to listen-- home, car, while jogging etc. (I'm so out of shape I can barely jog my memory!) I prefer tapes in the car so I can sing as loud as I want (not with headphones, though-- the cops don't like that)

what would be the perfect way to listen to Gord music? probably like Oma mentioned in a previous post. in the evening, right at dusk, turn up the sound and don't turn on the lights.
I also like listening to Gord when my husband and I go on trips. we listen to a song and then analyze it. after being at this sight and listening to the many comments that you all have mentioned it adds dimensions to our discussion and brings some of you into our lives. Oh, man, I can't imagine Gord while exercising...no way, I do weight lifting a lot and I would be drifting off into his song and forget what rep I am on. It would be terrible ( I have tried it before, no luck ). jazz and techno work much better or other noise, Gord is not noise. I can dance to a lot of his songs, 'though, lot's of fun there. See I don't have to keep track of how many reps when I am dancing. And Gord's music does not go well with push-ups of any form...imagine "Beautiful" with sweat dripping in your eyes? lol gwen |

Many times in the past I have sat with a beer in the night and listened to Gord. I have made my own "supertape" that I play in my car wherever I go, but it is nice also to have the CD player going as I putter around the house or do my scrapbooking. I never use headphones but anytime is Gordon time for me.

I listen through headphones when I am drumming, that way I can tell which cymbal Barry is playing or hitting, ( ride or crash) http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I prefer listening to Lightfoot while enjoying my "Second Cup Of Coffee", in the morning, while "Looking At The Rain" coming down. Then at "Sundown" sipping on a glass of "Blackberry Wine" til I drift off into "Dreamland". http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I like to listen to Gordon in my bed room when no one else is around and the house is quiet. I listen to him on my headphones if it is late and I am trying to sleep but otherwise I listen to him without the headphones. I think he is best to listen to when it is either raining or snowing hard outside.

Hmmmm....does that mean Gord doesn't come across well in warm, dry and arrid climes?
Glad I don't live in the desert! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif |
My favorite way of listening is through my cd player in my "workshop" as I build my "laker" models. Puts me in the mood to build boats !

I like Gordon's music quite loud if I'm alone. I love having to drive somewhere several times a week so I can listen to his CD's. When I'm doing little kitchen chores I have my little "boombox" closeby and listen (and sometimes dance around). My two youngest granddaughters (ages 10 and 7) are learning to love his songs, too. Annie knows all the "Pony Man" lyrics. I also like to snuggle in a blanket on the sofa and listen to him when it's getting bedtime.
Thanks for this wonderful website--new stuff every day. I love it! |

I listen on Sunday Mornings or Afternoons. Sometimes late at night alone with no noise except the hum of the refrigerator (can't do anything about that.) Mostly, though I prefer to listen when it's raining out. For some reason,I seem to associate rain with mellow music and my childhood in the '70'S. In fact the week I bought,"Songbook" it was overcast and slightly rainy for a week! It's been Borderstone, outta here and A.B. !

I just remebered,I like to listen in the great outdoors, everytime I get a chance to go. I can't imagine a better choice of artist to listen to in the quiet of God's country, can you? (All you John Denver fans might have a diff. of opinion though right?) http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif bOrDeRsToNe,Outta here and Alberta Bound!

I like to listen to him on the computer while playing cards, surfing the Internet, and I like to listen to "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald" while reading about the tragedy of the ship itself.
