Hey James - Bru was wondering in another thread where you were located in the U.S. I think you may have thought she asked IF you were in the U.S. Are you a left or right coaster? or Somewhere in between?
lol

from the list it's sad to see so many young kids who were 20,21,22....

why do yall ask if i'm from the U.S. or not?

Janice 04-29-2006 04:19 PM

No one asked if you were FROM the US, the question in both threads was where IN the US are you (I think the answer they were expecting was the name of a state or a city or a region or all three)

charlene 04-29-2006 04:21 PM

just wondering.....no reason...just friendly conversation with new friends....

don't worry about it any more...I'm not.

James, just about all of us know where everyone else lives. That way, if we're ever in their area, we can look them up, or join them at a concert. We're like one big happy family.
I'm from Northern Maine, where summer finally hits about the same time the 4th of July hits, and by Labor Day, we're banking the house and making sure there's lots of fuel in the oil tank.
So where did you say you are from?

Exactly so
I can never understand why people are so reluctant about revealing where they reside I cannot believe that some malicious or
perverted predator or potential Identity theif could get much help from reading here that, say, "Fred" has said that he is
from "New York".
As a topical example there is an an upcoming concert in Burlington Vermont on August 5th
and I remembered that just before Massey 2005 somebody from there was asking about trains to Toronto because, I think I recall, that their car had "died"
a quick search here for Burlington found me the enquiring topic "Where does everyone live?" at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...350;p=2#000089
where on december 1st 2004 Betty Member # 944 revealed her location and Cathy then said
"Betty, did you happen to make it to the Burlington concert a few years back?"
Betty's reply was telling "Oh My God, Cathy, can you believe I didn't even know he was here? But I looked it up this afternoon and I think it was in 2002. Burlington is only about 6 miles from me!!!!"
I can now send her at least a PM and I am about to check my email address book as I think I emailed her back then, so I intend to email her too, plus there is a solicitor in Burlington
(Michael Burak) who I "met" on the Peter Paul and Mary newsgroup who I want to point out the concert to (he once allegedly played on stage in Hull with Gord)
John Fowles
So come on James stop being so unnecessarily reclusive be brave.
I accept that there are possibly a few potential axe-murderers here but you are unlikely to lead them to your door anytime soon

No that is not Cathy or Janice!!!

I live in the big little town of Callahan, Florida. (Better known as C-town) ;) but just so you guys know, i wouldn't give my hometown away on just any website...

charlene 04-30-2006 02:12 PM

well there ya go James - didn't hurt a bit did it?
lol
I'm gonna have to get my trusty atlas out and see where you live in the beautiful state of Florida...aha - north of Jacksonville! I've never been anywhere but the gulf coast from Tampa to Naples and all points in between when visiting Florida.
How's the beaches up there on that northern section of Atlantic coast?

Well, if you take a look at that picture I posted a little while back, you would know. :) (The beaches are A-OK  )

Callahan... I know where that is, I think. Right on the eastern side of Florida, on the Georgia border.
My mother lives in Lady Lakes. Well, let me rephrase that. She has a house in Lady Lakes and lives near Rockland Maine. She's convinced the house is a good investment. I'm not so sure. She pays huge fees to have the grass mowed and shrubs trimmed, to spray for palmetto bugs and fire ants, and fees for all the frills of living in a gated community, etc. I really doubt she's making much of a profit!

SilverHeels 05-01-2006 09:31 AM

Hmmm ... interesting. I could have sworn James was going to say he came from Georgia ...

He's barely south of the Georgia border....
