I bought a new vehicle in April. It came with a 90 trial of XM Satellite Radio. I've been trying it out, spending alot of time on the Folk channel, testing to see if XM Radio is any more en"lightfoot"ened than the usual squawk box. Well I've heard Bob Dylan and Dave Mallet and Tom Paxton and Tom Rush and Patty Larkin and Joan Baez and Judy Collins, etc and once they even snuck a Natalie MacMaster in there. But no Gord. Granted, on a daily average, I spend maybe an hour in the vehicle, so there was plenty of air time I was missing. But I had started out with such high hopes and was about to run out...until yesterday's commute home. I was snapped out of my reverie by a familiar well loved voice. And there it was..."Sit Down Young Stranger". It was a thrill to push the button and see on the display "Gordon Lightfoot...Sit Down Young S" (there is only so much room on the display lol).

I had pretty much decided that I wasn't gonna sign up for XM Satellite Radio after the 90 days was up...I think I just changed my mind.

At last! I know we talked about this on our way to Toronto, good to know that not only did they play some Lightfoot, but a great selection as well!

We've been listening to a station at work that everyday plays IRCRMM. Recently the manager decided to change the station, much to my dismay. THe other day I arrived and Sundown immediately started playing. Around noon time IYCRMM played, and at the end of the day, The Wreck played. I think I like this new station!
Even better, back in the lab the guy has a large selection of Gord on his computer, and will play it when I'm back there for any length of time.
