My favorite song is, Does Your Mother Know.
I am not even sure what album it was first released on. I first heard it on an anthology of hits CD that I bought at a convenience store. That song touches me and makes me cry everytime I hear it. It reminds me of how much I wish I could have been closer to my mother during my struggles with divorce, and the loneliness I felt during that time. Now, as my children are growing up, it reminds me of how little they communicate with me about their problems. It is a sad commentary on how people get torn apart and sometimes never get back to each other again. |

"Does Your Mother Know" is on the UA album "Did She Mention My Name".
I did feel a certain longing in that song. ------------------ |
