Hi Everyone,
I'm just wondering as a matter of interest, if anyone knows where the sales stand for "Harmony". It debuted at no. 13 on the Canadian charts, which is quite high, and there was a lot of publicity surrounding the release, what with Gord's illness and all. I would have expected it to sell at least 50,000 copies by now (which would make it a gold record in Canada), especially since his Greatest Hits CD went gold so quickly. Not only that, I know of several lesser known folky groups that have sold at least 35,000 copies of their recent albums, with not nearly the same amount of marketing and/or fame. Any thoughts? |

Kenyon, from May to (literally) December of last year,I checked Billboard magazine to see if "Harmony" would even grace the top 200 LP chart.
No such luck! :( I can only guess that as far as American sales go,only Lightfoot fans like us (and maybe those curious to see what he sounds like now) actually bought it. If to guess an actual number,I'll be hopeful and say between 25 & 30,000? (I don't know how many you have to sell to "really" be noticed. We all were kind of hoping it would be a "huge" comeback. :) |
