This is a question for anyone who's been to one of Gord's concerts this year. How do you think his voice is holding up with repeated use? A good
"touchstone" might be the Reno DVD, he did that concert when, I believe, his was 61, and I thought he sounded damn good. Now, 5 years on and after the illness, how would you compare his voice live with the Reno DVD?

His voice compares favorably with the Reno DVD, IMO.

Bill :)

I attended GL's Wolf Trap concert, as did the Wallaces, and I thought that GL's voice sounded great, better than the Reno DVD. He looked fabulous also. Hi Bill and Lizanne W.

Oh Iron, with your 7 Spring comment you really made me grin - although I'm usually still clentching my theet when I think about that concert. Even after a couple of weeks back in Germany ( just came back ) the frustration is there. But I'll see him one day - beware Mr. Lightfoot, I'm running after you...:))

I know the feeling. English is my first language but I have been living in Sweden for six years. It's a little embarrassing when someone asks me the meaning of an English word and my only response is, "Uhhh....." And that's on a GOOD day!

And as for "theet", I wasn't sure if you were going for "feet" or "teeth", so just figured you had your foot in your mouth. :D

Hi David,

I know that feeling. If family or friends from Germany are calling I sometimes really have to struggle to come up with the right german word, it's silly. And some people accuse me of having the "american singsang" in my voice, even if I speak german. Oh well, we have to live with that I guess :)
And speaking of having my foot in my mouth after 7 Springs was canceled - you guessed pretty good! After driving all the way from the Twin Cities to PA and planning the whole trip since I knew he would be there - you can imagine, I wasn't amused! My husband tried to comfort me, but I just wanted to be left alone for a while.

By the way, how well is Gordon known in Sweden? In Germany not too many people recognize his name, if you're lucky they remember IYCRMM.
