I have a new article online, taken from the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Basically, it is about the taping of a live-performance for PBS.

Last night in Santa Rosa, Gord mentioned
the PBS taping and told fans to look out
for his wedding ring (which he wore
specially for the taping to show his
feelings about his wife and family) and
that he normally kept it off in concert
because it could "bump" his guitar.

Florian, thanks for passing on the great article! It's nice to listen to Gord take such a introspective approach to his life and career. He has worked so hard to get where he is today, and we are so lucky that he is still so much in the public eye. I can't wait till the PBS special airs. I am sure you will keep us posted. I assume there will videotapes available to purchase at that time, as PBS usually uses the opportunity for a fund raiser. I will gladly shell out whatever it takes to get a copy, and don't mind supporting my local PBS station while I am at it.

Hi muscatel,

Thanks for that input about the wedding band. I noticed that he wore it at Purchase, the first time I had ever seen him wear it. I know that he has said in the past that he doesn't wear it because it can interfere with his playing, but I guessed at the time that he wanted to wear it for the taping, and was using the Purchase concert to try it out. I am happy that he did, and from all accounts of the taping, it sure didn't interfere at all. He was magnificent!
