I am just listening to Gordon Lightfoot music, and although, all of his songs are fantastic...don't you think that Peaceful Waters really showcases his voice...very goose bumpy (if thats a word! lol). What other artists can top the professionlism of that song. What an awesome job he did.

In the 70s I'd point to,"Beautiful" and "Your Love's Return".

80s is hard to say because it seems he's having to fit in with that period. Best I could say is,"Shadows","Triangle" and (speaking for the acoustic versions I've heard)"I'll Tag Along" and "Morning Glory".

My goodness yes, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Beautiful are also an excellent example of the wonderful range of Gordons voice..

Judging by what you are saying, (as I haven't heard him live myself lately), his voice is not as strong as it used to be, I assume that may be so...but I guess its the overwhelming joy to be just in his presence and be transported to a more innocent time in our lives...honestly, If someone told me I could travel anywhere in the world or sit down for a day with Gordon Lightfoot, with a quitar and a piano, I wouldn't have to think twice...I would sit down with Gordon, (I truly mean that.) Lots of great singers are not as good as they were 20 years ago, but we still love them.

Borderstone, its always a pleasure chatting with you...I know I don't answer very quickly, but you are such a true Gordon fan,
