Well, I was at the show last night, I'm not very good with setlists though. Anyway, if you'd like a review:

I have never seen Gordon before, I grew up listening to his albums and my boyfriend purchased the tickets for my birthday. I was probably the youngest person willingly there, ie. not with their parents.
I was impressed that he still has such a pretty voice. People tend to lose their abilities after the years, it's just a natural part of the aging process, so I was extremely pleased that had not happened in his case.
My only complaint would be the volume. Acoustic drums are loud, either put up something to muffle them or turn everyone else up!
I know this probably does not quench your thirst, but I was a virgin, so what do you expect?

It was indeed another great show, jbt. Gordon seemed to be in an excellent mood and the perfectionist was showing as he asked for adjustments in the sound mix a few times. I'll let formerlylavender post the setlist. It was very close to the list from the previous evening with a few substitutions.

There were quite a few corfid folks there but I only spoke with 'the fowles' and the enthusiastic shouter 'JBT' and his lovely sister 'formerlylavender'. John Fowles walked around looking for people while I manned the fort in case someone was looking for us. No takers except the aforementioned siblings and John came back quite glum that no one was to be found ???

Nice tight performance from the band and Gord sounded wonderful although not quite as rested as he did the night before. Two long sets, he spoke quite a bit and seemed to be enjoying himself. Two encores and the band and Gord really seemed to be digging the thunderous applause between the first and second encore - big grins on everyone and cute little waves to the throng.

He seemed strong and totally in control of the show. Gave us his all and left us wanting more.

Can't wait to see that setlist.

Bill :)

Did you order Key Lime Pie for dessert?

It was indeed a great show - it flew by as usual. I knew about the white boots in the second set from reading the other reviews, and Gord did not disappoint.

The setlist is as follows:
14K Gold
Never Too Close
Shadows
In My Fashion
Spanish Moss
Don Q
Ghosts of Cape Horn
Rainy Day People
*Band Intros*
Triangle
Cotton Jenny
I Used to Be a Country Singer
Ribbon of Darkness
Sundown
The Wreck...
*Intermission*
Waiting For You
Beautiful
Harmony
Let It Ride
If You Could Read My Mind
Minstrel of the Dawn
Clouds of Loneliness
Baby Step Back
Canadian Railroad Trilogy
*Encores: Early Morning Rain
On the High Seas
I was pleasantly surprised to hear On the High Seas - what a gem!

As usual, jbt and I waited in the alley in the hopes of seeing/meeting Gord. He took an unusually long time to come out - longer that I'd remembered from previous concerts. Some of the band members came out first to talk to the crowd. When Gord finally came out, he was seated behind a table, and everyone lined up for autographs etc. It was more orderly, yes, but I liked meeting him in the crowd better - and possibly getting a hug!

Billw, it was so nice seeing you and your wife again. Thanks again for the pictures! It was nice meeting John Fowles and his "entourage" too. Now we just have to look forward to the next show...

Wiggles; Your boyfriend has exceptional taste for one so young. Brought up the right way I reckon...Loved the insights from your review. As you rightly pointed out many of us Lightheads are too afraid to even enter a history museum these days for fear of being mistaken for an exhibit!

The show was GREAT!!!! Bill W, I left my postit note at home with your and Ironman's seat numbers on it, and i looked around for a man in a hawaiian shirt and shorts and believe it or not, there were quite a few. I did get the honor of sitting beside Al in harrisburg that posts here once in awhile and he insisted that I stay after and meet Gordon and the band. Of course I did and Al took my picture with Barry K. It was a great time. I had a five hour drive and it was worth every minute of it!!!

That's terrific you guys, thanks!!! Puts a smile on my face and makes me happy!
