It goes without saying,I wish nothing but the best for my lifelong buddy,as we all do,but in the meantime or even if He is never able to sing another note......I would be there if He or the whole gang would do a show without the vocals, and I don't think I'd be alone....

Sort of like "An Evening with Gregory Peck" - he talked with the audience, showed clips, took questions, told stories about fellow actors, work on particular films, etc. Wonderful just to be in his company.

I know it's an extreme longshot, but if all the surgery and rehab actually works, his first song back should be "Waiting for You"!

I've been thinking that for a while---that the band could be there. Gordon could just speak the lyrics in whatever manner he would wish. And, as someone else suggested, he could talk--about anything--anything on his mind, anything that comes to him. I read that at one time when Johnny Cash was not able to sing, he got on stage and did that.

What a great event that would be!

Back the tour bus up for just a minute here,I'm not letting him off that easy.I was expecting a musical show with Gordon doing his usual acoustic magic. For me, his musical talent, both instrumentaly and compositionaly, are as unique and unparalled as is his voice and lyrics.I don't know how the "speaking the lyrics" would work out with the music, but listening to him talk about whatever would be great. He could pick a little, talk a little, pick a little more,I think it would make a great show...

It's okay, Iron. We just what iffing - if Gord can't sing again, he sure could pick, and talk.

Count me in too! Even if he's reading War and Peace cover to cover. No joking!
