Hi friends,
i obviously not seen the Canadian live 8, it's very hard to do that from Italy, even with the Webcast......you know, i'm still learnin'!
So i ask myself if somebody of You have recorde dthe Canadian show and eventually if somebody have put it on some format, maybe DVD.
If so, i think that it'll be great to share it all together, particularly the Gordon's set.....it'll be a way to help all the overseas fans.
I like to see the three Gordon's songs, i see some pictures and he look very good.
Also, i like to listen an acoutic solo performance of Gordon, it's a rarity to see him playin that way.
Even Neil looks good.....
So, if somebody can help me in gettin' a recordings of that, i'll be forever grateful to him.
Thank You

I had every intention of digitally recording the audio portion of GL, however I was sick as a dog and couldn't lift a finger.

Not sure if you will hear the audio portion unless someone else recorded it from home, Barrie officials were pretty unrelenting about recording devices at this event as they should be. :)

So nobody has recorded the Gord portion?
Nobody could share the recording with me or others overseas fans?

to see/hear Gord's performance. I believe the Live 8 concerts will be coming out on DVD in November. See article below:

EMI has secured the worldwide DVD rights to July 2 Live 8 concerts in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, France, Germany and Italy.

The British record company has concluded what it describes as "a unique agreement" with the Live 8 organization, by which it provided Live 8 with "a major financial contribution" in return for the worldwide DVD rights.

Sources said EMI provided Live 8 with a multi-million dollar advance, which will contribute to offset the production costs of the various concerts.

In a statement, Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof said, "We are very grateful to EMI for their financial contribution which helped to make the July 2 concerts happen everywhere on the planet and thus nudge the world a little closer towards our shared aim."

It is understood that the deal has been negotiated at the highest level at EMI, with the involvement of EMI Music chairman/CEO of Alain Levy, EMI Music U.K. and Ireland chairman/CEO Tony Wadsworth and EMI Continental Europe chairman/CEO Jean-Francois Cecillon.

The DVDs will be released around the world in November, with a series of locally-tailored DVDs featuring live footage from the concerts.

Geldof said he hoped it would become "the biggest selling DVD of all time. It deserves to be."
