After seeing Gahoendoe's video of Christain Island, I learned a whole bunch of things I hadn't know before, both about the song and also the place/island.
So my questions for this morning are A) Is there really a ship/boat named Silver Heels? B) Did/Does it belong to Gord? After "researching" a bit on this topic, I have one more place I want to visit on my trip to Canada! (Note: my trip to Canada is more in the form of fantasy and reality at this point, but one must have a dream!) |

There may well be a boat called SilverHeels but it does not belong to Gord, as far as I know.
As soon as I win the Lotto, it will belong to me :D |

which I recall also it cropped up in another topic and I replied with a rear end view of this vessel http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/goldengoose.jpg That picture caused some consternation because it shows not only the rear view of the yacht but also one of the crew members who appears to be a Scotsman who has lost both his kilt and his trewsers!!! (but of course not his underpants because as a bekilted Scotsman once memorably demonstrated to me he could then lift his kilt to prove that "everything was in perfect working order") John LOL [ October 23, 2006, 12:44: Message edited by: johnfowles ] |
