I love Gord anyway he looks but, most definitely with the beard, I'm kinda partial to facial hair.

The grizzlier, the better!!! But Gord looks great anyway, hairy or not.

I'm surprised so far with the votes for the beard! I'm talking cd's here, but I love his photo on the "Gords Gold II". Love it, and no facial hair, sorry fellow members, but there is something about his stature and his expression that I am infatuated with.

I think he looked his best when he sported the beard, but I'm wondering how well he'd look in a beard now days . . . hmmm. I kinda like the moustachioed look now.

Hey, has anyone noticed that the older Gord looks, the more he looks like himself when he was young. Does that make sense?

In 1969 he was clean shaven and every bit of his gorgeous face and those beautiful lips were right there to gaze upon. Then in the 70's the longer, curly hair and the full beard/mustache drove me wild too! Later he toyed between one or the other and I liked the full beard/mustache look. When he lost all the weight and his face was thinner I preferred the mustache only and still do. There are a couple of years in the 90's that he's looked great with no face hair and his hair just wispy and natural. This year at Mariposa his hair was slicked back and he had a mustache. I didn't care for the slick look but his face is thinner and the mustache fills it out. Now I understand he's wearing the hair natural again so he looks great again. It's true that he resembles his late 50's early 60's self now- thin face and shorter hair. In 1969 - no facial hair - those lips and his beautiful profile - my goodness he was something! A sexy, swagger, bravado came with the beard and mustache in the 70's I think - ver appealing! All in all he's looked darn good all of his life!

but he looks best beside me in my pic of the two of us!
LOL

I like the hair above his lip. It looks sooooooo good. Yes, he looks more like he did when he was young. His son is an image of his father.

I would say bearded. I like the look on "Old Dans Records" album cover, thats Gordon! Laid back, chewing a toothpick, whiskeres on his chin! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Ohhhhhh.... bearded. Definately bearded.....
uh huh....

He looks so great on the cover of Gord's Gold
that I've never put that album away since the day I got it.... can't get enough of it.

This might explain my short attention span.

Maybe I'll break down and have it framed!

This topic brings back a pleasant memory. My best friend since 1966 and I discovered Lightfoot together. We always talked about how Gordon Lightfoot never looked the same on any of his album covers. It's uncanny to line them up and go through them!

When I think of Lightfoot, the cover of Sundown is what I picture.

There you go! The Sundown picture is about as perfect as it gets - he just needs to get rid of that cigarette......

It is amazing to line up the albums and see the different faces.

The beard is the look, though! I may be prejudiced, though. See Fezo and his beard
