Massey Hall 2001
 

Last year many of us got together and enjoyed the 1st Annual Lightfoot Convention during the Massey Hall concerts. We all stayed at the same hotel, chartered a bus to tour Orillia (with a stop in front of Lightfoots boyhood home), had a great Lightfoot Trivia contest, wore GL Tshirts, and basically annoyed the nice people of Toronto!

The tentative dates for Massey Hall 2001 are May 24, 25, 26 and possibly the 22 and 23rd, 2001. This is from Early Morning Productions as of this morning. As always, all this is tentative, but gives us a starting point to plan our 2001 Lightfoot convention! I will call the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto to see if they are willing to book a block of rooms again this spring for us. I contacted Massey Hall to find out about group tickets last month. They don't have anything confirmed, so they couldn't commit yet to group sales. Last year they couldn't commit until the very last minute, hopefully this year it will go a bit smoother. They have now done this for us so I think it will.

I will be happy to organize this again if you would like. I'll need to get a estimate how many people will be attending so that I can block some rooms at the hotel. Last year I blocked 40 and used about 28. I may do the same this year unless I get a huge response, and then I will save more.

I can't wait!!
