I have just launched a web site for Hamilton Camp - singer, songwriter and actor. His career in music goes back to 1960, when he teamed up with Bob Gibson; his career in acting goes back to 1946. You have probably seen him in a movie or TV show but may not have been aware of it.
Hamilton Camp wrote Pride Of Man, which Lightfoot recorded on his first album. The lyrics are eerily appropriate to 9/11 as well. And he and Bob Gibson recorded For Lovin' Me on their 1986 album "Gibson & Camp ... Revisited". Hope you enjoy the new site. I'll be adding more to it in the days and weeks to come. The address is hamiltoncamp.com . ------------------ Valerie Magee Visit my GL fan site at gordonlightfoot.com and Cathy Cowette's web site at cathycowette.com |
Interesting site! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif I had to send them an E-Mail regarding his TV credits though. They missed one (that I know of anyway.) He seemed to be on many TV shows in the '70s,most notably MASH,Soap, some TV westerns & some that I just read but am forgetting! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/redface.gif
He usually played nasty little guys but also played some good guys too. The show I reminded them about was his guest appearance on a 1980 or '81 CBS show called,"The Two Of Us". A female talk show host and her dauhgter acquire an English butler named Brentwood. In one particualar show Mr. Camp plays a plumber who bursts into a chourus of,"Danny Boy" but still not fixing the plumbing too well! Funny episode and show as well. Haven't seen it in about 23 years now but i still recall that?! Life's weird. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif Been me,later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif ------------------ Borderstone, gonna post some lines tonight!:D |
I missed "He and She" from 1967 where he played Andrew Hummel, a neighbor, I think, to Paula Prentiss and Dick Benjamin. He may have been listed in the credits as Hamid Hamilton Camp at the time. See http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0131985/ for more. Wonderful, shortlived show - way ahead of its time.
