Not long sgo i mentioned the similarities between Softly and The Last Time I saw Her Face. the intros to both of them are. but how about the song titles to these The 1st time ever i saw your face. and once again L.T.I.S.H.F. or If I Could. If You Could Read My Mind. wonder if there's a possible connection where he thought up of a new song from 1 of his other songs, though the 1st one i mentioned wasn't his own, he would built on the 1st 2 or 3 words and finally think up of a new one. oh and can't for get. the intros to ERM and CRT sound the same on both the original and re-recorded versions.

I can't get into the specific similarities you mention above, but Softly is the single most sexy song I've ever heard. This is a family bulletinboard, so I won't get specific, but the images of the woman in the song removing a ribbon or something to let her hair come down:
"her long flowing hair came softly undone, and it lay all around" is about as strong an image from a song that I've ever heard...the perfume from a little shop...ok, I've got to stop now.. |

Rob, I totally agree with you about Softly; however, the lyrics you quoted were from Affair on 8th Ave... Did you mean that one then?
