Is it too soon to start discussing which song we think Gord will sing, or should we just agree that it will be IYCRMM? Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

I like Jimmy Fallon; let's hope that he doesn't pull a Letterman.

I like Fallon a lot-he's a very talented kid. Lisa records the show each night to watch the next day altho it is on again at 10 the following night... And you can watch it online as well if you're in the states..
IYCRMM is at the top of my list too..but ya never know!

I was just running through the tour schedule on Wayne Francis site along with Char's note about Gordon being interviewed by the Grammy people. The interview and Southern California concerts will happen over 1 week earlier. Agree with If You Could Read MY Mind for the song.

Sounds like the taping has been moved to April 3rd. Sometimes it airs that night, sometimes a day later. Start setting your dvrs!

Checked the Jimmy Fallon Show website tonight, it shows Gordon as the Music Guest on both Tuesday & Wednesday, April 2 & April 3. That's what I saw, http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon....ide/2013-04-01

Looks like April 3--episode 811. The musical guest on the 4/2 appears to be "Halcyon Digest" on the "buy the CD" click-through--even though the graphic thumbnail is GL.

The programming guide on my TV (we have Time Warner Cable) is showing Gordon as the musical guest on Wednesday, April 3. At first I thought it was Thursday the 4th, then I realized it was because the Fallon show begins before midnight here in the Central time zone, but ends after.

Looks like we can set our DVRs now. Time Warner would never lie :)

we get it in TO at 12:30 a.m. and 10 pm the same day.
tix are sold out months ahead and standby is usually for very few seats...
same as Letterman show...
I'll PVR a day before and after..lol

As I live only 45 min. from NYC, I was thinking of going. But as luck has it, I have to report to Federal Court in Suffolk Co. tomorrow for Jury Duty. I already have the DVR programmed. Would have been nice to see you again Jenney.

I am SUPER excited about the show tonight...set the dvr and plan on watching while it airs. Been texting family/friends so they can tune in too. Can't wait!!!

Well now, that was exciting!!!
My friend and I had a whirlwind drive into the city, followed by much angst trying to find parking! I'll try to give a more detailed report later, I'm still in Manhatten.
Gord and the band looked great! They looked like they were having fun, and Fallon seemed like a genuine fan. He mentioned 50 years numerous times, and ran up to the camera several times with the poster.
Gord sang iycrmm, and later did I'd Rather Press On, as a bonus when you watch it online.
We met up with a friend afterwards who works at NBC. He was trying to get us up to meet Brian Williams. We were rushing thru the lobby, and ran into Carter a d Chuck. I gave them both big hugs and told them we were in a hurry, and they did a great job.
When I turned around, gord was there! I introduced my friends, then told him we had to rush to go meet Brian Williams. Gord is still probably bewildered by my driving all the way down , then blowing him off for someone else. Oh, and Brian had already left.
We will be on our way home shortly, and may get home in time to watch.
What an exciting day!!

Before the show started I pointed out that the two arm chairs were the same colors as Gords two waistcoats and that could be trouble! Gord wore the nice new black velvet jacket.
No interview with Fallon, just a few words.Watch for some close ups of Gords' guitar! Fallon asked him if he had a name for it, and was impressed with the amount of wear on it!

the guests are always tossing the back cushions off the chairs because they are so uncomfortable, making the seats too small to sit properly..lol

Wasn't expecting the cluster of swaying fans as a backdrop.

Mike looked different. Clean shave I guess. Lots of smiling band boys, including a gleaming Gordie
