Something Silly
I'm not sure what inspired this silliness, but it has some snippets of a few Lightfoot tunes in the 'soundtrack' :

Re: Something Silly
Wonderful! Too funny, I love the little dance Jeanette did AFTER the bacon.
|
Re: Something Silly
Ok Ron, where did you find this one??? huh?
I suspect you may have too much time on your hands!! (Okay, I did get a slight chuckle out of it... but who is Nelson Eddy?) |

You are correct........waaaaaay too much time. Google Nelson Eddy.......there's a ton of info. |
Re: Something Silly
Not really silly.....interesting imagery with a Lightfoot tune.

Re: Something Silly
i never knew about that particular fiasco (aliens looking down must think we're truly idiots)...glad the eyesore is now gone...seemed like a scene from planet of the apes or whatever
wonder how the GL track got by the youtube police...we had a family gathering by Gord's childhood home so I threw some clips together to a Gord track but it was instantly flagged and disallowed...I was kinda impressed actually...it must be an actual human who has this policing job (they must watch a whole lot of crap, that's for sure) as I can't imagine there's a software tool that compares the audio to a HUGE database of audio...btw, nice bridge thanks for the first vid, love that sort of creativity and wit ps) wonder if there's anyone one the planet who doesn't love bacon...i guess it's actually more of a sodium love-in |

oh and timely...I just bought some nitrate-free apple smoked bacon at Trader Joe's  Saw it listed, on sale in this month's fearless flyer Had it the other night for dinner -breakfast wraps I made with all-TJ's ingredients. Scrambled eggs, the bacon, dried cherries, a little cheese and garlic-spinach tortilla |

jjo, i've never even heard of that first program (am i the only one without HBO?), i've only seen about 3 episodes of the second (but i plan on borrowing a boxed set from the library and watching them all one weekend so i can catch up on what people have been making reference to for decades!) and i can take or leave Leno (that headline bloopers got old a looong time ago, imo) but i do tape the last 5 minutes of every show ie. his musical guests ...in general, i find these shows very whiney, like Woody Allen movies BUT guys, thanks for the intro to this David guy, he musts be the quiet genius...i think the should run for president, i really like this one: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...40299927345865 ps) some current event comments from jj: - i like that they made public the names of two teen murderers who killed a 13 year old...and they got 'life' but they can be free in 10 years? ...even cavemen lived longer than 10 years so i think they need to fine tune that a bit - the Tate killer finally died in prison...that is what i mean by 'a life sentence'...that evens the score for that killing and now she can go to hell in exchange for the taking the life of the -0.5 month old infant - didn't mean to get heavy on this silly putty thread...talk about an odd justice system, how about this one?: http://www.miltoncanadianchampion.co...article/280831 and to think i was nervous driving with an open six pack in the trunk |

Re: Something Silly
that was not really silly, just wonderful (some bits went over my head)
i have done that sort of subtext over ride but using Asian films and other subject matter in the past, it is pretty fun... especially when your audiences think it is real thanks |
Re: Something Silly
YouTube- Just 4 Laughs : Gags
this show has it's moments....i guess it's a modern day Candid Camera type thing |

Re: Something Silly
Good one.
(ps : thanks for keeping this boat afloat, I was getting envious of your 'Link to your favorite music video' thread.) |
Re: Something Silly
dunno if this is silly or just interesting....i'd thought there was more CGI involved
you could probably jump ahead to about the 5 minute mark...enjoy |
Re: Something Silly
i don't know if this is silly or not...but i somehow ended up on it minutes after i was seeking Steve Carrel (the voice of the lovable Gru) clips
btw, i could not find clips of Bea doing her Betty Rubble voice or giggle ps) i enjoyed Despicable Me more than Toy Story 3 but it was also fun stuff i did get to finally see a non-kiddie film DVD recently...it was called Atonement and out a few years ago...hmmm, that is some fine filmmaking, imo btw, the interviewer is a big Gord fan;) |
Re: Something Silly
This is silly.....but I found it pretty funny....assuming you've heard about the uproar over the building of a mosque within blocks of the 9/11 attack.......
On his radio show, Dennis Miller asked his audience for ideas about what to place outside the mosque that would show the same irreverence to their religion. One caller suggested : A hot dog stand with bikini-clad women selling kosher hot dogs. That's just silly..... |

Re: Something Silly
Now that 'Dragon's Den' is a real great show jj. Didn't know the bald guy (forgot his name right now) could play guitar.

Re: Something Silly
jjo, you mean kevin o'leary (good dude in real life...he just puts up a front on tv, much like Cherry does)
little robert (mr hairspray) & big jim (pizza man and former wrestler) also nice dunno nothing much about the other guy of the gal (with the leno hair) rm i'm again administering cpr to this thread... i thought this was pretty silly (and a tribute to the Tiger Woods divorce) question: what GL song titles do you think would make good horse names? Daylight Katy, etc? note: my wife knows everything, but doesn't care... |
