My dear Gordon Lightfoot friends, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I have had an extremely rought week so far. There are certain girls I have on my MSN and one of them were being extremely offensive and abusive towards me today and what she said to me earlier this afternoon made it imposible for me to even eat. She said that she is going to show me how to get to hell and that I treat all of her friends like and used a very ugly word which I am not going to post on this forum as this is a family forum and it just really, really hurt me so badly. I have never treated these people badly what so ever and it's immature girls like Miranda who have to make it imposible for me. Please pray for me and drop me an Email at anytime at maheen5894@sympatico.ca I love you. This Friday the 17th I will be leaving for Sri Lanka and will miss you very much, however I will look forward to seeing you all in the New Year! Marcie, a couple of us have requested info from a Sri Lanka web site where they are assisting people in finding info about friends and loved ones, but as of right now, we have not received any news.
Do you know what city he is in? I'm thinking it is Galles, but I'm not sure. Maheen didn't take his laptop or cell phone with him, so he most likely does not have access to this web site, and I think his inbox is probably full of e-mails from people who are concerned about him. I spoke to him on the phone the night before he left. He was very nervous about flying. I sure hope he's okay. Please let us know if you hear anything, and we will do the same. Thank you so much for your reply. I don't know what city he is in in Sri Lanka. I have emailed the editor of his hometown newspaper in Ontario. The editor did a piece on the Sri Lankan community where Maheen lives. I will certainly let you know if I hear back from him. Until then, I'll be praying. Marcie |

I just got an e-mail from Maheen's friend, Mitch. There was no damage to his relatives' home, and they are all safe and sound. He will be back on Jan 4, as planned.
