I agree. You can fit around 20 or so on a disc.
But should he re-record any of them? If so, I think he would place them first, then place all the 'lifted' ones last.

I think that triangle should be removed from the list for disc #2 since it is already on Gord's Gold #2. You may replace it if you disagree.

Well, if we are going to get picky, Summer Side Of Life is on Gord's Gold. I really don't think it matters. The quest isn't to do what hasn't been done, it's to do it our way and if our way happens to have already been done, so be it. Both songs should be there, IMO.

I think one of the purposes of this little exercise is to get all of us to work together and participate. Since it doesn't seem that too many are, including yourself, Iron, 11 per disc and one selection per person on each disc seems reasonable. In my opinion, if you're not going to play the game, don't try and change the rules. I'm sure if we get an influx of folks adding songs, we can add some to disc one if needed - or we can have a multiple disc box set. Think about it - if every person who posts/lurks added one song, we would have a very interesting and enjoyable collection, albeit quite eclectic. Why not just roll with the flow and have fun with it like the rest of us instead of finding fault with the parameters. That goes for you too, DMD. Other than picking a version that you like best of a given song (like I did with I'll Tag Along) why make things more complicated than they have to be by wondering if he would rerecord or use existing recordings - just add a song and have fun with where it takes us.

Well! I didn't think that cutting a CD was so difficult! I wonder if Gord goes through this with the band? lol. Well we will keep it simple and post whatever song we think is best. Lets keep the 11 tracks per disc and add discs until we all get tired or run out of songs. With Gord's collection, I think we will get tired first! We can always re-name it SONGBOOK II if need be...
