"a complete set of High quality lossily compressed mp3s (sampled at the highest rate of 320KBPS) is available for download at rapidshare the links and contents of the 4 CDs are listed at:-
http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90...fm-133639.html" Bill, both of my Macs (old G5 on Tiger and new MacBookPro on SnowLeopard) handles this option easily.... used the free version of rapidshare and then the far files were burst into a series of mp3s that i brought into iTunes too bad the Your Song quality (either edited or unedited versions) aren't of the teriffic quality that the other recordings and interviews are...that one 28 minute interview segment is a hoot...Skip does a heck of a lot of the talking, eh (i like him, he' a ballad salad kind of guy:) ) love hearing early raw version of Looking at the Rain... Skip really dug that fresh Bitter Green rendition...wow, Gord's voice is hardly baritone for these (other than the awesome Last Time delivery) so suits the Doomsday witty vibe that one actually makes me think of Hamilton harbour, lol thank you, John...i'd heard tidbits of bad quality audio prior but not this feast! |
Re: MP3: GL singing Your Song
Cool how Skip points out that the first time Gord has heard the strings added to Gords last album was at Skips house on his new hifi and that jamming and listening in the future will be event better sounding with his new room with the cathedral ceiling
Skip kind of blew off Gord's performance of Your Song. But Gord made him backtrack inquiring as to why he didn't like it. Lol He said that track hadn't grabbed him initially the way Border Song had. He mentions another track. Can anyone make out the title? I need you to turn to? Take me to the Pilot? Sixty years on? Greatest Discovery? Not important, just curious (and 1/2 deaf) |
