BILLW,

WOW ! Thanks for sharing that. I have no idea what they were talking about. The ridiculous imagery completely distracted me from the words.

The 'Chili Peppers' evoke a fond memory. When I was in pursuit of a new guitar and trying out different models, a young lad sat down beside me and asked if the tune I was playing was a 'Chili Peppers' song. It happened to be one of my own tunes. At the time, I was unsure whether to feel flattered or offended. Now I know...It's the latter.

Me too. It's not a "bad" song. It's just, well... blah. [/QUOTE]Hmmmm, this is one of the ones I like. Good tappin' tune, there.

I don't like Slide On Over. No melody and I'd rather not try to understand the words.

I have to agree with "Slide On Over." Now there's a song I haven't heard for a while. Was not thinking about it. But everytime I listen to "Cold On The Shoulder", I usualy skip that one. 'Mama's got a long dress on'.

Heavens.
A lot of tongues.
A lot of bulging cheeks.
CYC? Naw, it was just Gord letting loose. I tend to alter the last verse to match my home:
"the Clear Fork, Black Fork, Rocky Fork too..."
These being three forks of the Muskingum river that flows to the Ohio river. Plus seeing the original CYC in the album notes of Songbook, and reading the story of it having been wrapped around a rock!
Hey, everybody's got their own tastes.
