All my Gord music is loud, because I can't afford hearing aids.

I think I'll add 'Summer Side Of Life' and subtract 'Ghosts Of Cape Horn'.

Count me among those who like ALL music loud when I'm by myself. When I'm not by myself, I like to be able to have a conversation without yelling over the music.

I keep thinking of that kid at Caffe Lena's open mic, the one who sat crosslegged on the floor with a puny little toy keyboard, trying to play his first real composition. "Oh, let me start over... oh, that's wrong, I'm starting over..." I sure wouldn't have wanted to listen to that at high volume. That had to have been the worst open mic I've ever attended. At least you got to sneak away to the Brew Pub. I had to sit through the entire thing.

The operative word here is "music" - I like "music" loud. I might have been lucky enough to seak away for some of that sorry excuse for an open mic, but I got back in time to hear that kid and enough of the rest to know that the only "music" going on that night occured when you were up there! The only savings grace was the enjoyable opportunity to hang out with you, Jenney, Val and Melissa and drinking a toast to Bru http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

My brother was the one who used to do that to me. With his door shut, on the other side of the house I could make out every word to Satisfaction. He was 11 years older than me so I was introduced at an early age to the Stones, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Those were at the top of his hit parade. And his electric guitar and amp didn't help matters any. It REALLY didn't help when he switched to playing a bass guitar. I was one of the few four year old who knew all the words to Satisfaction.

There are some of us who just don't like that sort of thinPersonally,I have never liked my music LOUD. My brothers did and that's most likely why. I got so tired of coming home from school and they'd be blaring KISS or Zepplin or Judas Priest or some other group getting kickbacks from ear-plug sales! I like these group now but I dont blast out my speakers. I wonder how I survive the few rock concerts i did go to with them! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/eek.gif Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

I make them go to bed at a reasonable time, eat good food, take them to the doctor when they are sick, I don't let them run around town, I don't let them watch non-age appropriate movies, I make them brush their teeth, I had braces put on one of them, I make them do chores AND they have to listen to my music when they are in the car with me! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Poor kids...so unloved! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif LOL

"The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald" is one of the few Gord songs, if not the only Gord song, that you could let other teens overhear and they actually ask you what song is that or acknowledge it. I'm not sayin to drive around the mall with this song blaring away but if you had the radio turned up kind of loud and the windows were halfway down and someone was walking close to your vehicle(another teenager) they might ask about the song because it is an eerie and catchy tune and it's what got me started on Gord.
Does anyone have ANY other songs they think might not be considered so uncool?
