I find a good deal of wisdom in your sentiments. I believe Lightfoot also expressed an acceptance of death following his coma. 'Twas something like 'I know what it's like not to be here anymore'. He was at peace with it.
RMD - A kindred spirit or a fellow senior citizen??? :) ;)
By the way, checked out your My Space site and was very impressed.
While there had to visit my son, who has just upgraded his site. If you should be so brave as to take a peak into it. It is http://www.myspace.com/donmadison
WARNING if anyone one should click on it, he is totally into heavy "shread" metal. It could just cause the fillings to fall out of your teeth. LOL!! :) Of course I'm prejudiced, and have grown to love it. (After all, he is our "first born" :)

Apparently both, since I can now order from the 55+ menu at Denny's. I never do though, and remain in denial.

Thanks for the kind words, and I will heed your caution when I visit your son's site (which will be when my high-speed connection resumes).
RMD - In regard to the 55+ menu, this is a little humorous. Last week my husband and I went out to eat, and when I looked at what the waitress had charged us, for a second I was almost angry that she didn't question whether we were seniors, and then reality set in. LOL! :)  I was 55, ten years ago. Guess it does show, eh? :)
