I understand some of Corfid's posters/readers are Jackson Browne fans. I went to the 75-year-old LA resident's concert here on Wednesday and it was excellent. It was a full house at the 7000-capacity Margaret Court Arena (part of the Australian Open Tennis complex). His band comprised a lead guitarist, an acoustic and steel guitar player, a keyboard player/violinist, a bass player, a drummer, a backup singer/bongo player and another backup singer. They played from 8.45pm to 11pm. Jackson's voice has aged well.

The setlist was as follows:
Don't Let Us Get Sick (Warren Zevon cover)
Downhill From Everywhere
For Everyman
Until Justice Is Real
Fountain Of Sorrow
The Long Way Around
Somebody's Baby
Redneck Friend
The Indifference Of Heaven (Warren Zevon cover)
For A Dancer
Boulevard
The Pretender
Call It A Loan
Time The Conqueror
Too Many Angels
These Days
That Girl Could Sing
Doctor My Eyes
Late For The Sky
Running On Empty
(Encore) : The Load-Out/Stay

Bill W,

A very happy new year to you too. Our best Christmas present was that my wife's lymphoma, treated via chemotherapy Jul-Nov2023, is back in remission. She then booked a Dec17-Jan4 trip visiting her mother in Ireland.

I have happy memories of Jackson Browne's Nov29 Melbourne concert. Soon after, this excellent close-up video of part of his Dec1 Sydney concert appeared, comprising songs "Until Justice Is Real", "Fountain Of Sorrow", "For A Dancer", "The Pretender", "Too Many Angels", "Doctor My Eyes" and "Running On Empty".

I have since bought tickets to James Taylor's Apr16 Melbourne concert. He will be 76 then. I'm looking forward to it.
