Didn't realize I misspelled Furay's name wrong.

Sorry.

I saw Richie Furay in 1971 when he was still with Poco and we're looking forward to seeing him here at home in October.

Coincidentally this announcement appeared recently in our parish bulletin.

Saint Francis de Sales/Holy Redeemer
July 13 2018
Coming to SFdS Oct 23rd ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME MEMBER RICHIE FURAY COMES TO SALISBURY at the Philip and Barbara Long Parish Center, located at St. Francis de Sales Church. It's rare for a genuine Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee to visit Salisbury, but this will become a reality in just a few months. In 1966, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, and Richie Furay were co-founders of the highly respected and influential band Buffalo Springfield, fondly remembered by many for their 1967 Top Ten million-selling hit "For What It's Worth." Buffalo Springfield were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Stills and Young were subsequently part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, while Richie Furay and another Buffalo Springfield member, Jim Messina - later of Loggins and Messina - formed Poco. Poco remains a groundbreaking country-rock band whose initial line-up also included a future member of The Eagles. One of the highlights of Poco's career was their 1971 live album "Deliverin'." Considered one of the best live albums ever, the album will be performed in its entirety by Richie and his band, along with Buffalo Springfield classics and selections from Richie's solo work .Doors open at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $38 and $42. Children 12 and under are free. There will be a special Meet & Greet package available too. Call the parish office at 410-742-6443 to order tickets, or e-mail us at parish@visitstfrancis.org.
