Whether you may have known it or not, yes, one of the few
remaining actors of Hollywood's 'Golden Age' has reached the 100 year mark today.

(Kirk Douglas will follow suit in December.)

Best known for Gone With The Wind and The Adventures Of Robin Hood, her acting career spanned decades. Along with that career she's also noted for being the actress that took the old studio system head on through the courts and came out victorious.

As most know, actors in her era were told 'everything' to do by the studios, including what kind and how many movies they would make in a year. As well as a ridiculous hand in their private lives as well.

The judge in her case against WB, found in her favor, calling what the studios did to actors 'Making a Peon like existence.' Aka 'indentured' servant. That was in 1944 and as most also know, the studio system fully collapsed in the early 1960's.

Olivia is the final 'main' cast member of Gone With The Wind (and maybe Robin Hood as well) to still be with us. It proves that there is no 'celebrity curse' and that being famous does not mean your destined to pass on before you even reach 65.

I've no doubt, she's a woman who takes great
care of herself. Just check out a recent picture of her online.

She looks 75 to 80 to me.

Here's wishing her a great day and many more birthdays still to come.
