Movies directed by Australians Jocelyn Moorhouse and Wayne Blair are having their world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, held Sep10-20. Moorhouse's "The Dressmaker" stars Kate Winslet and is set in rural Australia. (My favourite Australian movie, along with the comedy "Don's Party", is Moorhouse's "Proof", starring a young Russell Crowe and Hugo Weaving as a blind man who takes photos to help him judge who he can trust.) Blair's "Septembers of Shiraz" is set in the Middle East.
