Chris Hadfield presented a keynote address at the Melbourne Writers Festival on Aug21. This article from local newspaper The Age describes his fear at seeing a big meteorite pass close by as he orbited over Melbourne.

I wonder how he would feel about Melbourne having just won the World's Most Liveable City award for the 4th consecutive year. Here's a more balanced view, which was also in The Age today:

and 3 canadian cites are in top 5! ... vancouver-3,Toronto-4,Calgary-5.. so many ways to list stuff like this tho...

he was on denis walter's program yesterday at 2.30pm. he said he's flew over melbourne thousands of times, but never set foot on it till now!. i liked the interview
