To prove that it can be done here are a pair of screenshot images saved on my hard drives OneDrive folder (associated with my primary hotmail email account, these actually show how to change the default 2 second gap between tracks on a CD to make a concert CD play continuously
with no gaps between the tracks yet with the ability to select individual tracks preserved
It's all done with mirrors folks using the free trial version of the Australian burning program Express Burn Plus

Many thanks for telling me Char most helpful I can assure you
I could clearly see my three selected images both in preview mode and in opening my posting here after submission
A rather disappointing experiment so that's one route to be avoided
Ideally I want to send a screenshot directly to a storage web space that then automatically places its URL on my clipboard for pasting into a new posting
I have several other ideas including storage on one of my free Dropbox accounts and a program called ShareX
I'll be back when I succeed

OK testing Dropbox
noted from
Five Best Services For Quick Image Sharing
http://lifehacker.com/5804337/five-best-services-for-quick-image-sharing
where the first one (which happens to be Dropbox) was voted most popular
If you're already using the popular file-syncing application Dropbox, you can simply drop any image into your public folder, grab the public link (which you can do from the right-click context menu), and share. While it's not strictly for image sharing, Dropbox certainly does the trick. Dropbox has mobile apps for iOS and Android, and easy-to-access folders on your Mac or PC
here are the three images (as copied from my unsuccessful posting below back to my hard drive's dropbox public folder
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77091473/express_burn__1.jpg
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77091473/express_burn_2.jpg
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77091473/skydrive1.jpg
Again all three appear in my preview window, any luck Char???

[QUOTE=johnfowles;185651] grab the public link (which you can do from the right-click context menu), and share.
simplicity itself here is that right-click context menu command
Dang that was none too clever I managed to put that screenshot showing a dropbox public folder link by mistake into the onedrive folder instead of the intended dropbox folder
let's try again and ignore the black square below because I know onedrive ain't working right

ok I'll now try embedding a video file stored in my onedrive 30GB space
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=AFE203119B6B4C2E!8042&authkey=!AGHRpbUocj9u-FA&ithint=video%2cavi (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=AFE203119B6B4C2E!8042&authkey=!AGHRpbUocj9u-FA&ithint=video%2cavi)
Great whilst it does not display like it would have had it been a pukka YouTube URL at least clicking the blue coloured hyperlink will open a video player window to play the movie
As another experiment I made a screenshot of a scene early in the film showing the author John Fowles who had a literally one word bit part

yes well that works real well!!
Instead I have linked my onedrive to my Facebook account so I'll try linking go that now

Just one of Mende's Melbourne conveyances
That image was actually uploaded to one of my dropbox accounts
and its URL thereupon happens to be
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77091473/Flinders-Street-with-Australia-Tram-melbourne-city.jpg
The image's file name in full is
