Tom Rush concert

As luck would have it Tom Rush is swinging through my part of the country between gigs in Ashville, NC and DC. Sweet! Haven't seen him live since early 90s in Dallas. Hell of a talent and entertaining to see. Moneta, VA this Friday. Yeah.

Fantastic show! So inspirational to hear one of the "real guys" who has been there, done that, and has such artistry. He was particularly nice to my kids...who I think we're the only people at the concert under 50! He waved to them before the show, patted them on the head walking onto stage, stopped and said hello coming off stage, then met them in the lobby for photos. And as we were milling around the refreshment stand about to leave, he broke away from the line of fans waiting to see him, and came across the lobby to us to specifically give them a free copy of his kids DVD, saying, "Here - you need this!"
Great show with humor, stories, touching music, slick guitar work. One enormously cool dude.
