I considered adding this to the "One instrument ... I could roadie for these guys" thread, which featured Walk Off The Earth's unique cover of "Somebody That I Used To Know". The original by Wally (Gotye) De Backer has just become the first Australian act's recording to reach Billboard's No 1 since a Savage Garden song in 2000. Gotye was born in Belgium, but emigrated to Australia at the age of 2. He lived in Melbourne until recently, when he moved to the nearby Mornington Peninsula. Previous Australians to top the US chart were InXS, Men At Work, Olivia Newton John, Air Supply, Rick Springfield and Helen Reddy.
