View Full Version : Scrooge - your favourite version?
just back from a fine, lengthy out of town gathering...i noticed that our family quotes Dickens (great expectation, tale of two cities, a christmas carol, etc) nearly as much as Lightfoot
i wondered what member's fave version of "the holiday" classic was?
...btw, three days before Christmas, we suddenly got inspired to try do one as a family gift, but ran out of time...

It all came together wonderfully! The little previews were teasers and I've been waiting for the finished product!
Great work by Harrison pulling off all of the characters and dialogue. And your editing etc. made it all come together..loved it..glad it's not 3D!
lol
I LOVE the Muppet version of this movie..Michael Caine and the Muppets!
I'm only aware of the original version, so that's my fave.
Your version is brilliant. Lots of creativity and craftsmanship going on.
thanks rm and char (appreciate you hunting for those set backdrops to replace my home made green screen)...i'm just posting/replacing with a colour version...got a lot of mileage out of one outfit, 2 wigs, magicians hat and my outdoor shed, work lights
i've never seen the 5 minute 1901 version but thought the 1935 and 1938 (nice looking female, 1st spirit in that one, lol) versions had their moments but i'm all in for the 1951 version...fine performances, a real keepsake

many, many more film and tv versions...i'll have to check out the Muppets!
15 (more like 45) minutes of fame: in the mid 90's, a family member had the honour of transporting the now late, Glyn Dearman (1951's Tiny Tim) while in town...i believe he was meeting with Patrick MacNee (1951's young, Jacob Marley)
