Since the Bluejays weren't listed, I marked rangers (of course!) & the Yankees.

http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=12756599 - I love Roy.
Glory! Glory! Halla-lujah...finally the baseball world is getting to know the man
if you don't here is something to sift through http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/article/871965--5-things-halladay-s-no-hitter
i've still got his last start for the Jays on pvr, a 2 hitter in Fenway...i believe his first start for us, 13 years earlier, was a 1 hitter
anyhow, my kid was named for Roy (it's actually his middle name), and a troubled prince and cos Dave (another old guy) named his kid that also
i'd like Philly and Rays but i took the book ends of the poll cos nobody else has taken them and i don't want to be splitting the big prize with anyone else

Prize? There's a prize??
;)
The Doc always was awesome..I was there in 1998 for that 'almost' game and remember tearing up for him but feeling that this kid was going to be gold.
Look up CLASS in the dictionary and Roy and Brandy Halladay are surely mentioned.
Get that ring you deserve Roy!

Yes they are. I had a head start due to my participation in this forum, so I wasn't surprised. There was nothing but accolades being uttered on the sports talk chatter shows I watch and listen to. Not just about the no-hitter, but about the man, on and off the field. He's one of the rare ones that are universally admired.
ps. There are NO prizes, and the poll closes in 2 days (if I remember correctly)

some folks like Lebron, Vince Carter, Bosh, even Sundin could take notes from Roy on how to depart an organization in a class manner
well, looks like the Twins have the Yanks just where they want them, lol
speaking of the Roy coming out party, for some us who don't get to see Lincecum (or NL West in general) other than in brief highlight reels, it was nice to see the man, and the hair, doing it's thing over several hours...another pretty nice effort by a playoff virgin hurler, with Ks to boot
the poll closes in 2 days (if I remember correctly)
wow, that's a sad participation rate...has everyone given up on baseball since that last strike? (like we did in toronto until of late...i think we are no longer pissed since most involved have moved along...now we just despise Rogers...they should name it the SNET1 Centre)
i believe i should get an award for being eliminated the 0-3, 0-3 (who else could pick two teams that would go out faster than humanly possible
go Rays
ps)
rm, you are wagering against your OWN team? that will be costly
...and just when i thought you were shoe in for the HOF (the corfid one)
i just noticed that BOTH canucks have already gone down in flames, lol....i guess we should stick to hockey pucks...the Leafs have a 3-0 record
oops. i mean 3-0-0-0
i can hardly remember that last we stood proud in a championship of any kind

lol
should be a terrific AL and NLSC....i'll become more familiar with the SF team
the other night i was wondering why Cliff Lee didn't have a better 2010 W-L record

The Halladay/Lincecum matchup on Saturday could possibly be a classic.
i couldn't call that one, or the Cliff vs C.C. duel... anyhow, four nice ballparks
the other night i was wondering why Cliff Lee didn't have a better 2010 W-L record
and i wondered that again last night....lol
can any Texans out there provide some insight? injuries? control problems?
btw, i don't like seeing those big chain$ on players necks..the macrame (sp?...did they make them at camp? lol) things are less distracting but i'd still prefer without
and could CC please pull up his pant bottoms a bit...i like these things to look like ball uniforms, not track pants...(we can flame sports figures still, can't we? lol)
great series starting to shape up...i'll be looking for more of a Roy vs Tim classic deeper in the series ...still won't be surprised to see a few solo shots fly out of the yard
btw, i don't like seeing those big chain$ on players necks..the macrame (sp?...did they make them at camp? lol)
Maybe. I think it's a form of witchcraft or voodoo.
Predication update :

17 years ago tonight...1993
Joe Carter brings home another World Series to Toronto with a walkoff home run! , beating the Phillies for Toronto's 2nd series win in a row....
First World Series win was against Atlanta, only 15 years after The Jays became a MLB team, and a first game in April 1977 that was played during a snowstorm.
.lol
tonight I hope the Phillies win so they can try their luck with Texas..
ah sweet memories...

Although the eastern media are not pleased about this match up, it should be a good one. Where do I need to go to collect my prize???

YEAH!!! RANGERS V. GIANTS!!! FIRST GAME ON WEDNESDAY AT 6:57pm central! If I seem a little loud it's all 'cause I am SOOOO proud! The only thing that I don't like is that our local cable company changed what they consider a premium channel last year & then came & took TBS away, so now we can't see the game. Still, we have ESPN 1& 2, so I can at least catch the scores. So all I can say is YEEEEEEHAAAAAAA!!!!:):):)
The Halladay/Lincecum matchup on Saturday could possibly be a classic.
i thought Lee/Lincecum WS opener might've been (perhaps later in the series)
Lee is a different pitcher when he has to deliver from the stretch, eh
i passed out at 8-2...awoke to hear 11-7 final....whee, a different sort of classic
(i remember a 'classic' : Jays beating Philly 15-14 in game 4 of the '93 series)
