Lyle Lovett

Lyle's one of my favorites. I dared not mention out front that Lyle has four grammy awards since we're just noticing that Gord doesn't have any. (Incidentally that's a combination of bad timing and some knuckleheads that get to vote.)

Anyway, Lyle has a new release out today. Natural Forces. Interesting work on first listen. He actually is doing a lot of other peoples' stuff this time around though he wrote four of the songs. It's not Johua Judges Ruth, The Road to Ensenada or Pontiac (his three best) but it's up there. nice stuff.

I love Lyle and have seen him 3 or 4 times.
He's in Toronto on Nov.13...I'd love to go..
I am in a quandary because I head to Orillia/Lightfoot on the 14th and then all 4 Massey shows on 18,19,20 and 21. Lyle will be here with his Large Band and they are awesome. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Lyle is a very funny guy. I probably won't go but it is one concert I will really miss attending..
His new CD is on my XMAS list along with the new Kristofferson cd.

I too am a fan of Lyle Lovett, because he is a lot different than most (country artists) I really lke his style... Tho I have never seen him in concert.

'If I Had A Boat' is my favorite song of his. :)

Killer is Lyle will be here in Jersey when I'm down in Florida. I've seen him a bunch of times - several in the very theater he's playing this time - but not this go round.
