Continuing on with my bi-monthly open mic experiences and as always....advice/comments are most welcome:)

It was fun! Having one of my very best, oldest, dearest friend's there again has helped ease my stagefright. I like the little banter back and forth while one or the other of us is on stage...though some are things -only her and I can "get". For the 1st time...tonight I felt really comfortable singing into the mic. Also found I was a little taken aback by that! One of the guys from the host band came right up to me afterwards to express how much better it all sounded. Could it just be the songs I was doing? I wonder?

I started off with, "Me and Bobby McGee" and for the 1st time...I sang a Gordon Lightfoot song in public  and all thanks to a post that got me wanting to learn it ;)..."I'm Not Supposed To Care". It went over very well :)!!!

Hey Pam,

So glad to hear it went well!
It's got to be difficult to get used to the whole process but sounds like you are finding your way through it okay.
Startin' to feel good with it, aren't ya?

Sounds like a blast and goofy is a good thing, sweetie..
Those who can't laugh are doomed to......

ERRR...SOMETHING?
I can't remember the end of that quote....lol.
But, whatever they are doomed to, that fate won't befall you!

I sure wish I could have been in attendance Pam. I'd like to hear your songs.
