Hi Jesse, My cyber friend, Yeah WOW! I don't know how many of Sungha Jung's videos I watched last night. Someone recommended one called Blackbird to me and I watched several of them after that. Best guitar player in the whole wide world, most likely. Glad you're back.

I'm really glad you like his music too. I was reading some of the comments on youtube. Some people feel like practicing more and some people feel like giving up. There are a lot of great guitar players, and there are some, like this little guy that are just so phenomenal. I'd love it if he'd do a Christmas album. I think I'm really hooked on this music. I hope you will check out more of it on youtube. I would hope and I think there are other people here on corfid that must appreciate music such as this. It's just so good to listen to. :)

I fall into a middle category (ie. content, having mastered 4 chords, lol)

and his hands/fingers are still growing, imagining what's ahead

As I was watching one of Sungha Jung's videos on youtube about 2 weeks ago, I suddenly felt the loving presence of an angel right next to me. :) Really, and I wasn't imagining it. :)

ive seen and heard a plethora of tunes by this so-called Sungha Jung....

ive been a musician trained in the classics and theory for over 30 years. its a shame that the common public get charmed or better yet enthralled by this persons music.

sure, anyone can transcribe a song and make it sound 'classic', blackbird was originally played/recorded in an open 'g' tuning.....sungha could have bettered himself and used a lot less stress on his voicings if he just let an open ear to what the guitar was portraying.....

im not impressed, at his age i was doing recitals and aping the top chart songs and blowing people away as well......

sungha has no heart, spirit, depth and feeling in his music...its all just twang-twang-twang.............

he needs a good teacher....i dont know who has been teaching him, but that person has no soul

i wish you the best.....i hope you dont gravitate into devil-music or metal....cuz thats where you sound like youre heading.......

Cloud4shores, you sound to me like the kind of person that must take away another person's accomplishments, goodness or beauty, in order to make your own shine brighter. I think you are just jealous.

That's a shame. You might very well be a wonderful artist but you certainly can't take away this child's talent with your cruel words about him.
He does have soul and heart when he plays and it shines much brighter than your unkindness.

Thank you Nightingale. I wrote the poem a couple weeks back. Seemed to fit here.
I think Sungha Jung has a sweet, and quiet soul. He makes my days brighter. Listening to him play does my heart and soul fine.

There is a stuffed toy monkey and a toy puppy here on top of the monitor. They might be ready to play some devil music. They need some instruments, man they are just waiting for something to do. I'll get the monkey a fiddle at least. Ok, the monkey has the little violin and bow. He likes it. He's lookin' cool ... ok now play something. He's still just sitting there. I guess he doesn't know how to play that devil music. He would if he could.The puppy can play some metal. Puppy has a big chocolate kiss wrapped in metal. Those two little devils look like they could play some metal devil music. yes! yes!

Now really, I would never have thought someone would play 'Teen Spirit' on guitar...lol. What a strange choice and it must have been difficult.

It's weird, I don't even like that song very much but I liked his version a lot.
The young man is talented.

Yes, he sure is talented. (I finally just saw your post yesterday, Nightingale). Yes, that must be difficult, and he makes it look so easy. I wonder how he chooses the songs. I read somewhere that his Father is a musician.
I think it is so wonderful that it is even possible to for him to learn so much on guitar in such a short time. That one day I mentioned, as I was watching one of his videos and was I was filled with heaven's sweet love in my heart and soul as I listened and watched him play, I really did sense the presence of an angel (or maybe even Jesus) next to me. I sensed pure love for me.
It was pretty strange that that one person posted to say mean things about me or about Sungha Jung. I know where I'm going, but that mean person might be trying to steer people in the wrong direction, just because he can't see where he is going.
I like several different styles of music and I love it that Sungha Jung can play so much so well.
It would be nice to hear him do a Gordon Lightfoot song.

Oh yes, I still have it. It has a few battle scars, but it's still my favorite guitar. Doesn't have that new smell anymore, though.
