I'll be heading to Deep Cove, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia later in the summer..between the town of Lunenburg and Halifax..beautiful country..might make it to the Lunenburg Harbour Folk Festival..Jory and Aengus and many other great talents have performed there..The StanFest in Canso is on before I get there..

The StanFest is quite popular in Canso, N.S. Stan was born and raised in Ontario but he felt more at home in N.S. than he did in Ontario. If you saw the documentary on CBC "One Warm Line" you know all that Char...
JP Cormier will perform at The Mariposa this summer..
Today in Toronto people could meet and have Matt Stairs autograph. Cant remember where he was greeting people.. A great guy !
Just saw on the news that the Street Cars are not in service, people were some upset, saying they could not afford taxi cabs, etc... STRIKE ! :)

Meet Matt Stairs is coming up soon - The Jays are in Kansas tonight..and lost..again..sheesh.
Toronto Transit went on strike last night without notice..Gov.will legislate them all back to work tomorrow.
The line-up at Mariposa this year is awesome..even without Gord!

How clumsy of me The Jays are away, but I heard last night about Matt Stairs day in Toronto, and assumed it was today.
I did go and check the Mariposa Site, and saw that New-Brunswick's "Jessica Rhaye" will be there also. She is good, {tiny woman} who plays a 6 string Fender guitar when I saw her anyway... Very sweet person... after all she's from New-Brunswick eh!
The Gordon Lightfoot Trail (part of the Trans-Canada Trail) runs through forested and open areas of Tudhope Park, the site of Mariposa Folk Festival. That's pretty cool !
