It was reported on the music board @ IMDB that last night former ABBA drummer Ola Brunkert lost his life after falling through a sliding glass door at his home.
It's unclear how the actual fall happened as of yet but Ola was found with a towel around his neck to stop the severe bleeding. He had headed for the street to seek help but collapsed in his garden, where he was later found.
So far the male members of ABBA have said that for them, this is a tragic loss of a good friend. No word from Frida or Agnetha as of yet.
There's no question that without Ola's skills,ABBA's music might not have been as great, especially on Dancing Queen,Take A Chance On Me,Does Your Mother Know and the song that launched them into fame "Waterloo". He was present on all of their albums & tours.
In a strange co-incidence,I was atthe library watching You tube last night and "Take A Chance On Me" was one of the videos. My condolences to the members of ABBA and Brunkert's family & friends for their sad loss this day.
