John will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at their induction ceremony TONIGHT, Monday, March 10, 2008 in New York City at the Waldorf-Astoria.

VH1 Classic will air the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" LIVE at 8:30 PM ET. Music fans will get to see and hear Madonna, John Mellencamp, Leonard Cohen, The Dave Clark Five, and The Ventures as they are inducted into this esteemed musical institution, live, as the action and music unfolds.

For the second time, the induction ceremony will be telecast LIVE from the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City on VH1 Classic and MTV Networks' MHD: Music High-Definition channel on Monday, March 10 at 8:30 PM ET.

I never knew that Leonard Cohen is Canadian till I started reading/posting here.

I love many of his songs but some of them are just way to painfully real for me to listen to for long.
It's kind of like Pink Floyd...I love them but a little goes a long way. I get depressed if I listen for very long periods of time.

He certainly started out as a folk singer, do you remember his 60's folk tune 'Suzanne.' ? Now a days Leonard Cohen fits in no category as mentioned in this article. :)
