If one attaches a picture it is uploaded to corfid and then a thumbnail appears in a box the address of the thumb is as in the example below:-
and when clicked the full sized picture opens whose address is:-
funnily enough not a URL including the picture file name (autumn.jpg)
but the link to open the full sized picture
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=309&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1191508960
which when pressed correctly opens the full sized picture that also has the same address
Ok I'll post this then check what happens if one then edits the posting and uses manage attachments to delete the attachment to verify that if the box and thumbnail link is removed is the uploaded full sized picture is deleted also??
This test is designed to check on this point, moot or otherwise:headbang:

Ok if I simply delete the picture from my first message you will not be able to see what all the fuss is about so I'll have to add it to this second posting then go back to my first and delete the original attachment there, then edit this second posting accordingly

OK Mission accomplished (attachment deletion verified)
To recap the first attachment's thumb's properties was actually
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=309&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1191508960
would have opened the full sized picture at:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=309&stc=1191508960
verification check:-
After deleting the thumb using the remove facility
Initially my browser no doubt using the caching system displayed the full picture for a while then the picture was replaced by this message
"'Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator (http://www.corfid.com/vbb/sendmessage.php)
Double check on picture and thumbnail addresses
The second thumb has this addresin its properties:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=310&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1191512344
and clicking it opens:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=310&d=1191512344
NOTE to remove the first postings attachment I selected firstly the basic edit which I then found has no "manage attachments" link,so I clicked the "go avanced" link and was then able to successfully as described above "remove" the listed picture file (autumn.jpg)

That was an interesting idea to test.
