I was watching some tapes of recently recorded programs, and the Jan 8th Conan Obrien show had Sexsmith as the musical guest. I've read of the influence Lightfoot has had on his music. I was wondering if anyone either saw the performance, or has purchased his latest album.

He performed "All in Good Time", and the lead guitar between verses (for a few notes anyway) sure sounded a lot like "Sundown".

Anyone else notice this ? or is it time for me to seek psychiatric help ?

I saw the performance and loved it...and the new album is fabulous. You can get e-mail updates from Ron's website.
Ron is another wonderful poet. He's a mega fan of Lightfoot and as humble as the man himself.
here's some YOUTUBE stuff-

Charlene,

Thanks for the link...why didn't I think of that.

Having listened to "All in Good Time" in its entirety a few more times, I find the "Sundown" influence to be even more prevalant than I first noticed. I'm not being critical in any sense, I just find myself humming "Sundown" every time I listen to
it. Sexsmith's tune is great.
